Hi
Has anyone had any thoughts on R'Cing the new Airfix 1/350 Illustrious. Saw an add from Relish Models, Seems its 603mm long and costs £43, not bad.
Richard.

I thought about it, but if memory serves me right the hull is only 9cm across, so it would be a flat water model only.

It's bad enough converting the Tamiya Enterprise to r/c, that one would really be a challenge. There's so little in the water, if you're not very careful you end up with a very tender model.
And I should know....

I've RC'd the Heller WW2 Illustrious and that isn't too tender, just got to keep the centre of gravity as low as possible.
