Fortunately John Thorne was quick enough to secure the registration and the site should be back for new posts soon.  Whether the archive will be recovered is another matter.

For any existing members please be patient and when you see it back please re-register.

Ho hum!

Maybe the sort of problems previously suffered by an erstwhile subscriber?

Let's hope all can be retrieved Rob. Are Helen and Stu aware?

 Paul...

I noticed that when I reregistered the system seemed to be pulling old info from the old site, its as if the site is there but not  %% and is trying to refer back , but my reg went through ok . Wonder if any old restrictions are there but not visable..

And Martin Who is it that keeps banging on about Backups !!!

Well after getting back on there and lasting about 30 minutes I have had a warning "proxy use" for absolutely no reason I can see.
If this goes on, I will not be back on there EVER again! Paul... >>:-(

Just a quick note to say the Modelwarshipsuk site is back up and rapidly rebuilding.  We are already recovering most of the photographic archive and the build threads are being reestablished.

Old and new members are welcome, registration is open, and remember its a participation site so be prepared to contribute, we want to see your builds and help if we can.

I reregistered with the site with no problems the other day.

This morning I got a PM from Grossjack asking why I had "Multiple Accounts On IP Address".

I sent an answer. I have had a reply to this PM but cannot read it because my user name and password don't work! To the administrators of the forum what is going on?

There would appear to be several original members leaving the forum as it stands at the moment.

Rattles and prams

Because no one knows how the site registration was deleted everyone is upset.

The key part of original Administration team are strangely absent and have not yet requested to take back over the site.

On the bright side the rest of us are ignoring the fuss and getting on with rebuilding the site with significant sucess.

Niall,

I had the same problem.

If you follow the procedure for a forgotten password, you will be sent a new password, which will allow you to log on again.
Then you can change your password to a new one of your own choice.

After this, you should log out, and then login again with your new password.

This worked ok for me, and access is back to normal.

Hmmm ... well I tried relogging on to the site about a week ago, with the forgotten password reminder thingmy, and I was told I'd get an email confirming my reapplication, and it hasn't - presumably now won't - turn up.

Can I be bothered?

...Nah. Too many hoops to jump to get onboard.
