Hi all

Newsham park mbc in Liverpool are holding a fun day on Saturday 26th June. Also on the same day friends of Newsham park are holding there annual summer fait so plenty for all the family to do. Plenty of parking available just afun day for like minded people to get together and enjoy a good day on a very large fresh water lake. sorry no ic.

I will post a map from google when i figure out how to do it

you may find it is this lake they use, its the smaller one  save you walking miler around the big one looking for boats, it's still a big lake.

Many thanks to the newsham Liverpool and Hoylake clubs for making the event possible, mark, shame about your atlantic 21 being swamped and sunk.  dont give up hope, a perkasa was found by divers at westport lake, so if you know some divers or someone with an echosounder, it could be found.

Hi all just to say thank's to all that attended what was the last of newsham park model boat club. Sadley the club has folded due to lack of interest and new members not joining due to the times people sailed there.(Early morning). plus there were no toilets or anywere close to get somthing to eat no good for the older members.

Anyway out with the old in with the new. Im off to sefton park today to see about forming a new club there. Ive had a load of interest due to the fact that this lake has just been revamped with new cafe and toilet facilities something else newsham never had.

Will be posting a new thread soon once i have more details but it's looking like it will be a excellent venue with loads of scope for show's and fun days as its huge and no fishermen to battle against.

Mark .regards Newsham finishing ,,as i said yesterday  very sad that these things happen .I Was at Sefton ,and have spoke to a Warden ,things are ,so/so regards forming a club ,I dont know how you got on but Its not easy to talk to Richy . he must have seen some things going on ,however you must have made more headway being in your position .
