Where to buy metal railings?
« on: May 30, 2010, 04:50:44 pm »

I have a 3' wooden Perkasa that has most of it's deck fittings missing. I can make most of them but the guard/hand rail is missing, so to are the torpedos, I can probably make these, but the handrail is a different matter...any ideas?
Thanks

You wil have to make them.

Work out what height they have to be then buy 2 hole brass stanchions of the correct number.

Use brass wire as handrail and centre rail.

Push the brass wire through the holes in the stanchions and then add a touch of super glue to the joints.

Any problems phone Malcolm at Cornwall Model Boats, tell him the height and number of stanchion and length of wire and he will sort you out.
