Graupner Bernhard Gruben kit.... Help!

Re the Graupner Bernhard Gruben kit.
I am having problems understanding the instructions re the hinge arrangement for the stern flap.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do not have any photos yet as have only just started the kit. Thanks for the offer of help, will contact you later if I am still in trouble.
