Dan,
Plenty of pics here:   Click here for pics

Just scroll down the page.

It depends which type of tender you are making. RMAS or RNXS.

Dan,
There aren't any on the outside, they would all be on the inside as luminous arrows with escape on them.

Shipmate60, what is the distinction between RMAS and RNXS?  And how does that distinction apply to the Loyal class vessels as modeled by Model Slipways?  I have read dozens of articles online on this subject and cannot see the forest for the trees.  Or maybe it's because I am from too far west.   :-)

I am most of the way through my Loyal build, and have about decided to name it LOYAL VOLUNTEER.  If I have it right, the color scheme for this boat was predominately a mustard yellow, and the (blue) ensign is the one with the anchor sideways with 2 wavy lines below (RMAS).

CGAux26,
The RMAS (Royal Maritime Auxiliary Service) operated these vessels as fleet tenders for transporting people and stores around the fleet.
1 small detail is that these usually carried a "Gemini" a small inflatable ships boat NOT a clinker built boat as supplied with the kit.
The photos bear this out too.
These were buff and black (Humbrol No7 is a good shade of colour for these but is gloss so usually needs a satin or gloss topcoat.
They were also converted to diving tenders.
The RNXS (Royal Navy Auxiliary Service) were grey and black and used mostly for training university RNR Units with an RMAS Engine Room crew.
The Navy operated one of these as a Clearance Diving Tender the "yoyo" and she was grey.
