boat stand

could someone give me a clue how to build a smart looking stand for my boat, i plan to put it under a glass case as it is a static model.

start with a base board

u can either make a form of the hull and cut out using mdf or another suitable material and fit to the base board, stain ,varnish how you please. remeber make the forms slightly larger then the hull so you can place some foam strip to stop damage to the hull..

other method which i find look very nice is like this

base board, Pedestals

take a base board and fit 2 or 3 pedestals to the board , the pedestals clamp/sit on the boats keel. or you can mount them to the hulls base if its flat either way works, just depends on your boat.

these are 2 basic stands presentable and un conflicting.

or you can go one further and make a 'scene' maybe  a dock side with tide out or in, the possibility are limited only by your imagination.

Cornwall Models do a selection of stands and various fittings for them.  :-)) :-))
