On 8th May 2011 Kirklees MBC is holding this event along with Mountfleet Models at Wilton Park Bradford Road Batley WF17 8JH from 09 00 hrs to 16 00 hrs. The main theme for the day is models powered by steam both static and powered steam models will be welcome.  Appropriate certification will be required for all working steam models, however steam testing under the Blue Book Rules will be available from 10 00 hrs until 14 00 hrs.  Boiler pressure testing will only be done by prior appointment.  Please do not shoot the messenger on this, if you have any queries please contact me via the Kirklees MBC web or a p/m and I will forward them on to the correct person. Mountfleet Models will be on site also showing their range of models and I understand Mountfleet will be donating a prize for the best Mountfleet Model on display. Tables and tents will available for the display of models during the day.  At 2pm it is hoped to have a grand sail past of steam models. Refreshments will be available during the day. If you would like to attend with any other type of model you will be made welcome. For more information please contact me via Mayhem or www.kirkleesmodelboatclub.org

I would be very grateful if someone could take some photos and a video of this event if possible. I would love to attend but it is too far from London for me.

Just a final reminder that the event is still on so please feel free to attend.  Bring along your steam models with curent paperwork for the plant. Mountfleet model owners are also more than welcome to attend as Sue from Mountfleet will be on site promoting Mountfleet models. If you have any models other than steam or Mountfleet you are more than welcome to attend. See other posts for more information.

Well made the trip for the Second year running and despite the onimous grey clouds it was rather pleasant, a tiny bit more breezy than My launch would have preffered but acceptable..

My thanks to Stan, Richard and the rest of the Kirklees gang for putting on the show.
Here are a few pictures from the day, also a few none steam ones as I liked the Hovercraft and also the First Complete Subscription Bismark I have seen..Very Nice. There were a lot more models but this year I concentrated on using my Launch a few more times

Just  a short post to confirm the day went very well. The weather was kind as well. Warm sunny spells, no sign of any rain. A good turn out of models both steam and Mountfleet. A big thank you to Mountfleet models for their efforts during the day and Model Boat Bits.

Next event Mobile Marine Models see further posts on Mayhem.
