Window vinyl colours
« on: December 27, 2010, 02:55:21 pm »

What in your opinion is the best colour vinyl for boats that have these stick on windows? I've seen gloss black, mat black, silver and carbon. None to me look very like real window glass but a lot of boats don't have the option for actual windows with perspex and HAVE to utilise vinyl. I am considering using a translucent or transparent tinted vinyl on one of my boats as the mat black windows don't look right, it's an Equipage Gold Coast.
I did some new windows for my MFA Fairey Spearfish, adding some frames around the gloss black. They look good but not super duper. What is your favourite colour for this type of window?
Cheers

ive cut out my window appetures , then make the glazing and frames to suit , some of the spearfishes had either blue or dark brown tinted glazing from new , i know that the blue tint is available in sheets from mfa at quite a reasonable cost !

photo shown is full sized spear now converted into a spearfish , miss daisey .

I'd do that if I could, but the Gold Coast has a cabin that is permanently fixed and not 'Get-at-able' to cut windows out  {:-{
Nice picture of the Spearfish....I need to put extra windows on mine I think  :-))

it appears to be missing at least one window on the cabin side !
