Hi All,

I was just wondering whether anyone had had trouble with the I-max B6 saying that there is a voltage error?

I had that issue with a different charger, turned out to be the input voltage dropping when under load.

what he said.... had it with the B6 when charging some Hi cap lipos but was my power supply, Im now using a 4amp supply

I have been charging of a leisure battery, it stopped charging and started with low input oltage. I got the Multimeter out and that sed even under load that there was 12v. Then i got a plug/ transformer which is variable. I set this to 12v but i still have the same problem.
Any ideas?

Will the charger blow up if i put 18v through it. It does say from 12v to 18 though?

Hello
I have a Imax B6 charger. The one and only time it played up was when the 12V 7ah input battery was low very low.

Take your input battery 12V SLA meter the out put voltage ( a very low SLA will still show + 12v ) then but a high current load across it eg car fag light or head light bulb etc and meter the SLA out put voltage. If the SLA is low on current it will diliver + 12V but drop rapidly on V on load and this will play havac with the charger. If the battery is all was low even after charge sound s like it has come to the end of it working life.
Yes you can run a B6 from a PSU as adertised on ebay but this would depend on the size and the load of what battery you are charging.

For a cheap power supply option you could use one from an old computer.
