Right guys just picked the boat up so here are some more photos of it, i do believe now that after seeing it close up it is maybe not from a plan and has just been someones imagination, it is very well made though and i am happy with it  :} I think it may have a sound generator fitted but i am not sure, just looks like a circuit board to me but it is not used to power the lights so i am unsure what it is or how it works.....anyone?

Looks like a timer circuit with a relay (Black thing in the middle). Does it plug into the Rx? I can't see a receiver plug.

Hi Barry, It doesn't have a plug on it, it is wired to the motor and the speed controller but it doesnt seem to do anything.

Very interesting.  I should imagine it interferes with the signal from the speed controller in some way.

Obviously a home made design on Vero board but what does it do. I was thinking either a current booster or reverse voltage protector.  Either way, you could live without it so it would be all right to remove it from the circuit.    %)
