As a mid was project between what im up to currently, i want to convert my Southampton tug to have independent drive on each prop, so im after a source of 8-10 amp esc's (as im using 400 size motors with a 3.3A draw rating)

I was tempted to buy the Action P94 lite.. but most of my cash is stuck up on my Komet build, if it wasn't i would have got it!

So dose anyone know a place to get 8-10 amp esc's cheap as chips that will do forward and reverse with no hassle, I don't care if there Chinese imports or what not, as long as they work until I can free up cash for something better later. The mtroinics 10Amp esc are ok..... just at £21 each I think there a bit over priced for that size esc compared to there bigger brothers of 20 and 25amp which you can buy for a few quid more!

Yeah i know, I don't like to buy cheap stuff but i just want to see if the tug preforms better with 2 esc with independent control before committing to decent stuff, Oh and the wife is having none of it!

Thanks for the link but im not spending £30 on ex demo's you never know what they did to them regardless of what they say on the add!

Unlike Chinese ESCs. The motonics range come with a two year warrenty, so if any problems could be sent
for repair,(unlikely).Also after two years Motronics have a fixed price repair set up.My own experiance of
chinese ESCs is that they can fail. The makers claim more than they give, and that they dont give
low speed running. Coming in with a bang.We all want to save money but with ESCs you get what you pay
for. John.

Well, thanks for the link "funtimefrankie", ive just ordered 3 "used esc's, as they will be most suitable for my "RMAS Moorhen" build on the warship thread.
2 x drive motors
1 x bow thruster

I did that when i brought my tug ... she still don't know about it... had it delivered to my fathers address as i was away that week it arrived, so it went from my dads house to the workshop without SWMBO even seeing it, crafty or wot eh!

I've mentioned it before and I'll mention it again. The best ESC for scale boats by far (and I must have tried most of the others by now)

Mankster. I looked at the site you suggested but could not find prices. The Esc,s do appear to have a good
progamming potential. But with brake facility must be car oriented origannay. Also no infro on number of turn

HI Guys. I have the same problem when buying anything new. I tend to leave new items in the garage for short while let the packing get dusty.Then when the other half asks is that new blow of the dust and say no. I have had this for a long time.

Morning Folks
Does any one know if Micro Gyros have recently stopped trading or is on holiday do not want to start any rumours etc. I ordered a speed controller from them for a jet drive had several conversations and messages confirming etc and was awaiting paypal details but received nothing regarding payment. I have emailed and called on several occasions since Easter but to no avail just get answer machine.
Does anyone know of another manufacturer that produces a similar controller that will activate a servo when reverse signal is received but will keep motor running in forward direction help would be appreciated need to controll 2 Graupner 700 race 9.6v motors connected to KMB jet drives.

i have used microgyro speed controls for near on 15 years and have found them to be very good too if not a little hard to get sometimes i know he is a very busy man i am about to order 10 when i get payed for a recent job

so if ya Reading keep an eye out for my order. there is a paypal account to send money to and on his site a skype phone indicator telling you when he is on line

It is primarily a boat esc. link
You must have looked at the archive docs of an older version.

The brake is engaged when you leave the stick in the middle of the off region.The reason for its inclusion can be seen in the Mark-1-Tank insert in the 4th episode of Supermodels Series 2. Truck and tank users dislike the double throw operation common in car escs but still require a brake for hill stops.

in the past.....my first boat was found up the tip.......I won a boat in a raffle at a show (always keep a raffle ticket from the tombola stand), been given boats by friends from work....bought a boat at a bootfair (she was with me), but the best one (and she still does not believe me!), I found a boat at the side of the motorway!!

ps I use mtroniks, and the ex demo ones come with the same warranty as new ones!!
