Woolwich Ferry
« on: June 15, 2011, 11:07:33 am »

Greetings from a newbie! And already I'm asking for help!  :o
As a future project I'm planning to build a model of one of the Woolwich Free Ferries that I spent so much time on as a little kid in the mid 50s. These were the series 2 paddle steamers; Squires, Gordon, Will Crooks and John Benn. Has anyone got any plans/drawings of these, or can anyone point me in the right direction? Although I've managed to find one or two photos on Google, they're very general views; I'd really value some on board/interior shots - in colour, perhaps??!! :D This will be my first scratchbuild, so I need all the help I can get!
As for my current build, I'm thoroughly enjoying building my Model Slipway 'Our Lass II' (follow my stumbling progress on  http://www.flickr.com/photos/bodgerbikes/sets/72157625681738557/ ).
After that, I've already bought their Envoy kit. And then - it's the Ferry! :-))
many thanks

That's really helpful - many thanks. Still would value plans or interior shots if anyone's got them!
Cheers,
