Hello,

I want to build the Granado, and am wondering which kit you would suggest. Amati or Caldercraft?
I have experience with modeling but not a lot with wooden ships.

Cheers,
Thanks for the help,
Ian..

I'd go for the Caldercraft Kit. ( I've built HMS Diana and am building HMS Victory )

Jokita ( Caldercrafts Nelson Navy series ) make good kits. Their webb page is jokita-ltd.com. On their webb page are construction photos of the kit , and they are very helpful

Thanks again,

I would agree with Ken, although I haven't seen the Amati kits. I built Ballahoo as my first plank on frame and was quite pleased with the result, except the rigging defeated me >:( - it ended up only partly rigged, but most people don't realise that.
