Hi Everyone,
I'm quite new to writing on forums but I have been reading the threads recently and I have decided its about time I joined in.
Anyone who went to the Mayhem at Wicksteed Park this year might have seen me and my dad's latest creation/monster, a 1/32 scale working model of an Insect class gunboat called HMS Gnat. The model is 7ft 3in long over all and weighs about 46lbs, however trying to get photos of the real vessel is becoming a nightmare.
So this an appeal to the forum does anyone have any pictures of HMS Gnat after 1937, i.e. after she moved from the Yangtze River where she was white and buff (China Station colours) to the Mediterranean in 1940 (two tone grey camouflage). We have bought all the books possible on the subject and looked on the internet but no new pictures have come to light. Please don't make me start using my imagination again it hurts after making our RAF trawler with only three pictures from three different eras!!!
