Connecting the propeller shaft to the motor

What do you use to connect the motor to the propeller shaft, can you use a coupling?

Yes you have to use a coupling device of some sort. It depends in what type/size/speed of the motor, and what it is going
to drive. It may need a gearbox etc.

please give us more info, we need to know

what motor your using ??
what shaft are you using (solid metal shaft or flexible shaft)
what size the prop shaft and motor shaft is ??

there are so many different couplers avaliable but i suppose the most obvious couplers are

straight connectors (Xmm hole one end and Xmm hole the other)
universal joints (UJ's) with brass/metal inserts, one size for one end and one size for the other joind by a plastic u joint

as mentioned above, there MAY be a gear needed but we won't know unless you can tell us
