Ellesmere Port 2012 Show
« on: August 01, 2011, 12:31:37 pm »

Ellesmere Port Spring Show 2012.I know I am early in this request but does anyone know the dates? for the 2012 show, I live across the wet bit and would like to visit the venue again, the original show was a brilliant concept, a lot of people cut their teeth on the strength of it. :-))
Several of us from the Isle of Man are thinking of coming over and would like to check hotel prices.
Cheers. Howard.

Thanks Steve, the show sounds like it is rising from the ashes, I and a number of modellers from the Island used to attend the original convention at the venue for many years.
Cheers. Howard.

Been enough of that on here lately... %%  Anyway, I thought anyone South of Glasgow was a Softie Southerner. Look forward to seeing you all down at Ellesmere and other shows. I think more of us should come up there and make the same effort as you all do, puts us to shame sometimes... :embarrassed:

It would be good to see you guys up here, give the guys from ellesmere port club and balne moore club credit they make the long trip up north for our scottish tug inn every year and is always good to see them, dates for that will be out soon I think.

Also the warship weekend in Glasgow is always a good day out.

During the Spring Show at Ellesmere Port this March, there will be once again the very popular Bring and Buy.At the 2011 show there were over 30 boats that sold in the 2 day period, i think that beats Blackpool's Bring and Buy! Anything remotely to do with model boats will be accepted, including books, drawings fittings etc.  Selling prices will be held at 2011s, £3.00 per item to sell, but NO percentage of the selling price fee after that, £3.00 is all you pay! So bring all your unwanted items and make yourself some money, or just come and Browse. Please get in touch with me if you are interested in selling  yewgarth@ntlworld.com Thanks, Martin  !

Hi all as number 6 says the type 45 is coming for a sail along with the usual ships but i would like to ask the masses if anyone has a titanic of one of her sisters as it is the anniversary of her sinking next year we thought it would be fitting to see if we could get as many of the fine liners in one place as we could. this is not going to be a theme but would be nice to see them so anyone know somebody with one if so please get in touch
