We now have over Six and a half thousand members and it has been noticed that some of you are not putting your locations into your profiles.

Please see the latest welcoming letter to newcomers which advises this as a good idea so if you could update your records please, it will help everyone.


Members are encouraged to give a brief indication of their location as this often allows Members nearby to help each other and can also assist when
recommending clubs or suppliers. Your profile can be readily amended, by adding a location which does not reveal your precise address but serves the
purpose outlined above.

                How to update your Location details:

             1.    Click on "profile" above  -  
             2.    Click on Forum Profile Information
             3.    In   "Location"   enter your nearest Town.  ( NO post codes! )
             4.    Save and exit.

Hi Tug kenny , Yeah , cannot seem to get back into profile details to be able to tell all Members (DOVER) of the best waters for Model boating in the UK which is my home Town of Dover .  Maybe we should have a vote on best model boat venue in UK ?   Its got to be Keasney Abbey , Dover !

We are hopefully heading that way.

I feel that we are a friendly forum and will be more so if we know the person might live near us.  It can be a lonely hobby and would be great meeting others with the same interest. Hence our desire to go to the lake and shows, sometimes spending all day travelling.

Starting next week we are going to remind everyone of the advantage and maybe instigate the "miles from you" system like our American counterparts.

See if you can all check your Profiles before then............................
