Oz F1 GP

Who's going to win in Melbourne next sunday then?
(Cue responses such as "F1 is crap", "Who cares?", etc.)

Isn't he busy buying Singapore ??? ;D
I bet Michael won't be able to resist a free trip (Ferrari will invite him - just in case they don't have a good practice) ;D
Should be interesting with all the swapping round that's been going on.

Well I don't think it's going to be Jenson Button probably the one that finishes first ;)

As a twenty something millionaire I don't think Jenson really cares if he wins or not.

Who cares? The rules are far too complicated (Bring back the 750kg formula, I say) and Moto GP is so much more fun to watch. Isn't there a ludricrous rule this year that they've got to use hard and soft tyres whether they want to or not?

The good old days, when everybody had to beat Michael, who do you cheer for now?
Do you remember that other chap, Damon something or other?
I'm not sure if I can get interested again.
Anyway who wants to get up at three in the morning?

"Damon something or other?"
Not a very nice way to dismiss the last British driver to win the F1 World Championship. The first, and only, time the son of a former champion had won the title. Now head of the BRDC and trying to keep the British GP at Silverstone, where it belongs.
Damon deserves more respect than being called "something or other".

Yes I suppose a bit irreverent, you have got to be something special to be a world champion, but I always found him a bit petulant, look at why he left Williams. I was an enormous fan of his father, in BRM or Lotus.

I don't think you'll find that Damon left Williams of his own accord, his contract was not renewed by Williams.

That's right, Damon Hill didn't leave Williams of his own free will, effectively they sacked him after he'd won championships for them. You're probably confusing Damon with that whingeing drama queen Nigel Mansell. Damon was a damn good driver, unbeatable on his day, and a thoroughly honest and decent bloke to boot, and there aren't all that many people in F1 that you can say that about.

You mean Louise Goodman on the ITV commentary team Peter? If it's one of the drivers on the other hand, I think you should name names, since as far as I know, at the moment they're all sharing the same trackside lavatorial facilities. There have been rumours about Ralf Schumacher, it it his masculinity that you're questioning?

Does Sir Frank know?

Nico Rosberg and Alex Wurz drive for Williams this year, so which one of them are you calling a nancy-boy?

Watch Lewis Hamilton this season at McLaren.  I would love to see him do well and I think he has all the makings of a geniune star.  He also seems to be a very level headed decent young bloke with some real talent earned the hard way on the cart circuits.

So, who'd win in a fight between HS93 and Nico Rosberg?
You can't imply that a bloke's a bit girly just 'cos he's good-looking.
Or are you jealous, HS93?

Rosberg ..... "Finnish any races this year?"
Was that a pun, HS93? Actually, Nico's from Germany!
*******************************************************************************
Lewis looked completely ay ease in his surroundings during qualifying. A superb performance.
Egg on face for Honda though, being outqualified by the "B-team" Super Aguri. It would have been more appropriate to have Kent Walton commentating on Jensons qualifying laps, it looked more like a wrestling match ..... and the car was winning!
Definitely worth staying up to watch the race tonight I reckon.
That's only my opinion, if anyone disagrees don't waste your time telling me about it.

I don't get this bit about Rosberg being German. Isn't he Keke's son, and he was Finnish?

Nico was born in Weisbaden Germany in 1985
But WHAT about Fernandos new haircut :o  It must be a team thing cos hes trying to grow his sideburns as long as Lewis's.
And don't come on here tomorrow morning to tell me who won - it's gonna be recorded cos I need my beauty sleep ;D
