For those of you who may remember last year I bought my first model boat, a 46" Vosper PL4 which was in a poor state and had seen happier days. This restoration has taken me a long time and at one point I just did not think I would get the time to finish it so I posted it up for sale here on mayhem, I am so glad that I changed my mind and decided to stick at it and get it finished, over a year later and with my wallet a lot lighter now I have eventually finished it and the pictures are below (also some pictures from when I first got it)
I stripped off all the old paint, repaired and replaced all the damaged wood, lots and lots of primer and then painted it numerous times until I was happy with the colour scheme. I removed the old diesel engine that was fitted as many members on here advised me too, sold it and replaced it with a Torpedo 800 Motor along with a Tornado 50A Marine ESC, complete new radio gear and a new 12V battery, replaced the original prop and shaft and the original steering device and shes ready to go to the boat lake tommorow...fingers crossed
