Hi,
I plan to solder a brass tube into the prop shaft to keep it protected as I sail in salt water.

Is there a modern way of doing this?

Yes,
Malcolm at the new club 500 site sells oilers which are a doddle to fit. You simple glue them onto the existing prop tube, then drill down through into the tube and clear the debris away, jobs a good 'un!

Thank you Gentlemen that's just what I need.
