Hi there, I've had 1/12 scale stanchions from Metcalf Mouldings for older style lifeboats before, maybe worth a call. Got to replace the wooden ones on my Solent with metal ones. Took the picture of this one on Sunday at Blackpool, Dave.  :-))

ps. Also do some at Model Slipway, look under fittings, then 1/12 lifeboat fittings. http://www.modelslipway.com/

Some pics of stanchions on mine with dimensions, want to change mine to metal ones but these were on it when I had it and decided leave them for now as they look ok but a bit too thick. Mine runs fine on 2x 800s, plenty of power if you need it, Dave.  :-))

Here's details for Torpedo 800s from Wesbourne Model Centres site. Look similar spec. I wouldn't imagine there would be too much difference. I've got a Torpedo 800 in my Our Lass 2 as well and it's got more than enough power, Dave.  O0

All here to help, you'll have put on some pictures of your build. Lovely looking boat the Solent. I'll hopefully be building a Metcalf Ann Letitia Russell before too long, another lovely looking lifeboat. Dave.  :-))

That's not a bad price really, Waverley Models aren't cheap but very good quality. Think I'm going to 'drydock' my Solent after the Warwick show, got a few jobs to do over the winter. Want to repaint the hull and replace my stanchions and kickboards, 32 stanchions eh? Think I might have get some more, don't think I've got that many in my box. Dave.  :-))
