Does anybody on this forum own (or know of) one of these?

the R. M. Marine Victorian Steam Gun Boat

I bought mine secondhand about 10-11 years from somewhere
in the Notts/Derby area.

I sailed it for quite a few years but latterly it has been enduring an
extended refit (about 5 years at the last count!)

Earlier this year I came across another copy of it at the Harrogate
Model Engineering Show. I had quite a long chat (then and since) with
the chap who owns it - He is based in the North East and is a member
of the ? Tynemouth Model Boat Club.

I just wondered if there were any more of these knocking about?

The R.M. Marine kit was probably released around 1994-5 -
I have copy of a Model Boats article from December 1995
describing the build.

HI Richard, I have the plans of the RM kit and intend to build one myself.  She is such a charming model, I have been collecting items, like stanchions and I also have a Robbe variable pitch prop shaft system that I am going to use.  That is no ESC just the servo working the prop mechanism which also can go in reverse.  I have all the timber, just glue and maybe some paint needed!

I am currently building a Lilka patrol boat so when that is finished, the gun boat is propably next
You could possibly see another one at the Alexandra Palace show, friend Les usually has it on his club stand.
