Hi Guys. It is only 3 weeks now until our first major event of the year on Sunday 24th June from 9.30 a.m.  until approx 3.30 p.m.  If you like steam powered models or Mountfleet Models then please feel free to come along and enjoy the day.  Refreshments will be available.  Car parking is free all day. I understand that there may be a competition for best Mountfleet model.  Check out previous posts ref boiler testing information. It may be possible to have checks done on boilers on the day. If you want this please can you send a p/m via Mayhem. If you do not have a steam model or Mountfleet model you will still be made welcome and will be able to sail with us.   For sat nav users our postcode is WF17 8JH. Be aware of speed cameras on approach to Wilton Park.

Hi  Just one week now to our third Steam and Mountfleet Models open day. If you have a steam powered model or Mountfleet model or you may have both, then feel free to come along and enjoy the day. If you do not have a steam or Mountfleet model you are still welcome to bring a model and sail with us.  Valid paper work for boilers will need to be shown on the day. Some testing may be carried out during the event.

M62 to Chain Bar exit, pass under M62 and take Leeds road exit, through 2 sets of traffic lights, across mini roundabout to main roundabout, Fire Station on LHS. Turn right at main roundabout and left at next set of traffic lights, straight along road to Batley and park is on LHS after passing "The Scotland" on RHS.

Missed a bit Dave, After you.ve passed "The Scotland", carry on through the next set of traffic lights and then a quarter of a mile on left.

If you've got co-ords on your Nav, 53Deg 43Min 29Sec North,  1Deg 35Min 55Sec West will sit you on the island in the pond.

Hi Guys. Th Steam / Mountfleet day is still on for tomorrow. The weather forcast is for overnight rain to clear around dawn leaving a bright day with the chance of a light shower. Hope to see on Sunday at Wilton Park.

Hi Guys. Just got home from a excellent day. Could not have asked for better weather, cloud during the morning and sunshine after lunch. I would like to thank all our visitors for helping to make the day a success again. Also a big thank you to Sue from Mountfleet Models  for providing trade support during the day. Thank you to our boiler tester who was kept busy this morning testing and checking boilers. I can confirm this event will be included in our 2013 programme of events.  More information to follow in January.

Nice turnout of models again Stan. Pity about the lifeboat trying to drum up trade  {-) but that "weathered" tug was easy to miss (or not in this case). Had an hours chinwag with the hobbit  :-)) , good day but I doubt the Megane owner thought so.

Hello,

Just got back from a very enjoyable day out at Kirklees Club.
Really good weather, boats and their owners, all in a very nice Park.
The lake was full to the brim with all the rain we are having.
I can heartily recommend a trip to this Club.
