a very nice steam plant, it's notvery often you see pumps on them they work well, have you had the plant from new? it should push the tug well.

Hi Peter
No I recently bought if from a gentleman who had it built by Cheddar for the Peggy, which he sold having never built it or used the plant, other than test run it  to see how the water pump worked into a tank.
My plan is the Rosegarth with onboard tanks!!

Hi I see you have a cheddar attenuator on this set up. I would be interested to see how you get on with it. I have just purchased a boat with a loose attenuator and am wondering wether to reinstate it.

If you are new get use to sailing without it first, the problem is you have to leave them with the adjuster unscrewed to stop damaging the rubber membrane if it has been left in the wrong position it may well be inoperable.and you will have nothing but trouble trying to get it working to my knowledge you cannot get a new diagram for them from Stuarts. if you want that sort of thing go for the GAV unit sold now by Stuarts to the Cheddar design by far the best one to use and simple to operate.

I looked at Stuart Models and could not find a GAV unit. Are you reffering to a Electronic gas valve ? http://www.stuartmodels.com/accessories.cfm/mainaccess_type/9/the_type/Electronic%20Gas%20Valve

Gerald.
