My son has one as well, Very kindly given to him by Jaydee, we have yet to test it out on a flat run but being close to a few good beaches (NewBrighton) etc I have been told they can easily get up to 40mph.

Annoying thing is we went to NB not long ago on the spur of the moment thing and it was only when we were nearly there I realised we could have taken it , Doh.. %%

Hi all Thanks for looking at our land yachts on jersey model boats.com   I found this site  some time ago thy are cheep to build made out of poly pipe,  Plans can be found on
You tube  under RC POLY PIPE LAND YACHTS,  and we in jersey now have six on the go and boy do they GO, we found you do need wheels with bearings, and its best to have the sails made the same as on the poly pipe site,  cheers and hope you all have great fun as we do,  regards  tony  jersey,

Hello all. Tonysmoke and Roger Hamelin are responsible for this cheap form of racing landyachts . You can see how we built them on jerseymodelboats.com
and we also have some short clips from Las Brayes carpark. This picture below is of my bright pink and red landyacht. we got all the dimentions from Andy Newton
who's format we are following in jersey. As tonysmoke has said this weekend 5/2/12 we will have 6 racing so I will try to get some more pics or clips for
you and to put on you tube. I have posted picsof every step of the way so have a look.

In this piture below from left to right Roger and mirs Hamelin, Jeff Stratford, Charles Gallichan (my dad) Jackie and Tonysmoke or Tony Le Breton.

Good luck and we hope you have as much fun as we are having with them in jersey.

Please pop into jerseymodelboats.com or visit Andy Newton's polypipe.com for the latest pic and clips.

Has the Jersey Model Boat website shut down?, as I joined it so I could ask about Dimensions of the Land Yachts, but it says there is no news and to come back later.
So, I can build one from the photo but, I would be nice to build one to your dimensions, can you help please.

Thanks,

Len

Hello all from jerseymodelboats.com and I am sorry that members of modelboatmayhem are having trouble getting on to our site.  Firstly, Please accept my apologies for not being able to get on the site. If you send your details to [email protected] this should include the way you will be signing in and your password only to our site and I can do a quick user entry for you and I will let you know straight away bud.  DickyD  Please can you sign up again as I deleted your details by complete accident. You can do one of two things, firstly you can sign up again or you can join up using the way as Len is going to do  it. Once again Please except my apologies  and I hope you both try again and I will sort it out ASAP. The polypipe landyachts are getting more popular on the rock and are cheap to run as you can see from our site. The website is jersey model boats, but now we include landyachts in the header its going so well.
Cheers all

Thanks Tony for your kind comments and remember you started this lot off, and its the members who make the site.
This weekend we will have 6 ready to have some fun racing around the carpark.
Their are 3 more under way on the rock so one day we will have 9 joining in the fun. I will post some pictures
and youtube clips on Jersey model boats on sunday night and maybe here.
We are thinking of making some T-Shirts up for the summer and would like some ideas on what to print.
If you know of any cheap T-shirt printers around your part of the country please let us know  :-)).
Thank You
Lancejsy

Lance, colour blind people cannot see black writing on a red background. ;)

I'm assuming that is what is on the red strip. {:-{
