Evening ladies and gentlemen,

It is with great pleasure on behalf of our fellow Mayhemmers Ryan and Norseman (who came up with the idea!) and in aid of the RNLI, that I hereby announce this splendid 'My Lifeboat' thread well and truly open!

Many of you will be aware of Ryan's great efforts on behalf of this great Institution, as he explains in his RNLI Fundraising 2012 - Help and Suggestions welcome post under Model Boating:

"The challenge is to visit every lifeboat station on mainland England, this is 100 stations consisting of 2564 miles in 5-6 days
with an estimated cost of £500 in petrol...I aim to raise at least £2500 but hopefully more"

Just one of the many great suggestions offered in reply (#17) was Norseman's,

"the idea being the members post a pic of their lifeboat and make a donation for the privelege of having a/several lifeboats"

So here we are! If you have anything which in any way shape or form could be construed by a drunken man at a a range of 50 yards in fog as being a lifeboat, RNLI or not, please post up a pic and dig deep into your pockets via the link below:
