First Brushless Setup!
« on: March 09, 2012, 08:44:25 pm »

Got my new brushless set up together this afternoon, so I thought I would switch it on and see what happened

It played a little 2-note 'tune' when first switched on then worked like a good'un !  forward/reverse, no pause
or faffing about - sounds like 75% power in reverse - I can't see any gain in messing about with the set-up
at this point so I shall leave it alone. I am amazed at how much grunt there is in such a tiny motor!

thinks . . . . . must get something to put it in! %%

I'm sticking with the 7.2v NiMh / NiCd Race packs I already have at the moment.

I screwed up a bit, thinking that I would need to program the ESC, I bought a Turnigy programmer
card which isn't compatible with the ESC. It only cost something like £4 or so if anybody wants it
they can have it FOC and post paid in exchange for a donation to charity - PM me if interested.

The card is brand new, unused and has Version 2 software and a different front panel which now
some 12 different settable options!

You might want to hang on to the programmer if your going to try boats with brushless you can use it for the Turnigy marine esc's by printing out a new faceplate. They do have great power for their size I have a little outrunner in a boat that really flies, but don't run it too much without a load, it's not very good for them.

It already has a new full featured faceplate with the v2 software

You can use this faceplate on it for the marine esc's.
