ModelTugForum registration...
« on: April 02, 2012, 01:02:53 am »

I recall hearing before the 'Meltdown' that if you wanted to sign up to modeltugforum.com, you had to privately PM one of the moderators there, or otherwise contact them separately.  I just signed up yesterday and haven't received any confirmation yet, and I was wondering if that's still the case.  It only took half a day for someone to approve my Mayhem re-registration.   :((

My application was approved in a couple of days with no PM's needed.
That was only a couple of weeks ago.

Hi Guys. I am one of those Moderators. The site is still undergoing a major refit....erm I mean upgrade! %%

Spam applications have been causing havoc, so either email the site admin directly at  tugmaster@modeltugforum.com   with your details or send them to me. I need email address, avatar name and real name in order to do it for you. It should then be done within a day or so and in some cases almost immediately.

Hi Barry,

After Mayhem's little... incident!... I would strongly recommend the webmasters of the Tug Forum test their backups not trust the SMF backup option! (Backup via cpannel / myPHPadmin).

We've been lucky on the AMS forum, only one spam attempt since I set the forum up, and that was swiftly dealt with by the forum software.

We have our own resident anti virus software....know to all model submariners as 'ALF'. Six foot six, no teeth and speaks his own language....some say he is the legitimate son of The Stig.

All we know is that no spammer would ever dare tangle with the mighty ALF.
