Guys
I think Pointy is away with them greyhounds he has been quite for a week or so,I think Prinz Eugen is a very nice model it handels well although Pointy is not happy with His turning circle when we both went out it was very choppy and the waves were about 8/10" in hight but the pictures don't portray this both handled the conditions well,To give you some idea of the conditions Scharnhorst had water in the spotting top that's a foot above the waterline,PSShips thanks for your comments are you going to the Kingsbury warship day in July?.
I have more photos of both Prinz Eugen & Scharnhorst if you want i will send them to Holmsey to post on here.
cheers

Another day at Black Park
USS Winston S Churchill and HMS Iron Duke were patroling the southern end of Black Park Lake today. There was a tense situation when a fast launch approached the formation. At one stage the vessal was seen to attempt to ram the RN ship. Appropriate warnings were given and the motor launch was seen to withdraw. Other threats being encountered were a Upholder Class submarine and the battlecruiser Sharnhorst!!! WSC got a bit close to the German raider but no harm was done. It was pointed out that Churchill did not meet SOLAS reglations with no liferafts, life bouys or RIBBS on board. She also has no bridge windscreen washers! However there is an EPIRB on the bridge wing!!!
