Sad news another loss to model boating - Jimmy James
« on: July 14, 2012, 04:11:23 pm »

Sadly  I have to inform you that  Jimmy James has died,  at home on 10th July 2012. After  enjoying a Holiday with his family, sailing  a catamaran of Bermuda with his family  as crew he returned home.  My  sincere condolences go to his wife  Nuala and family of three daughters and two grand children.
His vast knowledge of sailing will be missed  by many modelmakers around the world, including me a neighbour and friend. He was a  member of the KINGS LYNN  MODEL BOAT CLUB for many years.

Very sad news indeed.

I'll always remember having a great morning at Eaton Park with JJ discovering that the 'pointy thing' wouldn't go round a corner, followed by a masterclass on Freebooter and then lunch in the pub round the corner.

A true gentleman, he'll be sorely missed by all for his wit, his wisdom and his sheer generosity.

My deep condolences to his Family.

RIP

My apologies for my previous posting - although I checked, I did not see that someone had already done the honours.
