Flower Class Corvettes
« on: July 28, 2012, 01:34:04 pm »

Paid a visit to our local Toy Shop this morning, and saw he was now stocking Plastic Kits, as there were a good display of Revell kits, both small and large, I asked if the Flower Corvette was listed to re-appear. He went to his Web Site and told me it was due in November, it had been uprated and improved with Etched brass and finer details. Sounds good, but I bet the price has grown too! Wait and see I think, hope he orders one for Stock, then I can have a look at it first!

Sounds interesting!  The Revell/Matchbox Flower is a godsend to beginning boaties as it can be built relatively quickly and looks good on the water.  This new edition should be a improvement.  The photo-etch and metal barrels should help a lot.  I'm not sure about the wooden decking as there was very little on a Flower.  The most important thing would be the removal of the moulded planking from the kit part which is a real PITA.
