Lifeboats Through the Ages
« on: September 11, 2012, 12:37:10 am »

Hi everyone,
I would just like to say,if any of you are down in Cornwall this weekend,I shall be exhibiting  5 or six of my 1/12th Scale model Lifeboats,at the ST.IVES LIFEBOAT STATION I will be there from 10 am to 4.30 pm,so come along and have a chat, and hopefully put a few coppers in my collecting boxes? The St.Ives Mersey Class Lifeboat "The Princess Royal" will be on the slipway, and tea and coffee will be served in the Lifeboat house, with a tombola stall.Right next door is the Souvenir shop, with the new stock of Christmas cards in stock along with other RNLI Gifts.
Look forward to seeing you!
Thanks,
Mick F

I would just like to add belatedly, that this day turned out to be very successful, with almost £600 being raised through donations and sales. The event was very well received, and I would like to thank everyone involved, both organisers and those kind people who donated, not forgetting the St.Ives Lifeboat Crew, and Cox,and the Harbourmaster.
The enclosed photo shows the "boss" Ladies Guild Member, Myself, and the Cox,Paul Whiston.
Thanks again,
Sincerely
