The only 'slow' epoxy I have found locally is the B&Q Repositionable 15 min stuff. Everywhere and the pound shop has 5 minute stuff, but as you will know some tasks need a bit longer to get everything together. I had a couple of packs from the local B&Q, but then they were oos for a while. The other day they had some more so I got another pack which I started using today.
And after just a few minutes the darned stuff was setting - and fast! I hadn't even finished applying it, so I stopped and scraped off what was on before it really set up.
Long story short I then treated it as 5 minute (ie. didn't hang about) and j-u-s-t managed to get the stuff on and the parts mated before it set up. And then the same the other side (where I actually used only about 80% hardener) with the same result.
So I'm thinking this batch is maybe a load of 5 minute stuff that's been packed wrongly. Which probably means the rest of the packs in the store are faulty too. I suppose I'll have to mail order some - at 15p a mile it's not worth driving all over the county in search of the stuff :(
Anyone had experience of this, or know a way to slow 5 min stuff down - but waiting till January and opening all the windows is not an option, thanks for the offer anyway :)
