Need Part help for 44` & 47` MLB
« on: October 29, 2012, 04:30:03 am »

 Hello
I have started the plank on frame hull of a Dumas U.S 44` MLB hull and my next build is a 47` MLB, both from the U.S BUT built in Canadian Colours. What I NEED is the rubber rub rails that is glued on the sides of the hull to protect it. It is soft rubber/nepreme and it is D shaped. It has a peel off edge that lets you stick it to the hull. What I need is 1/4" wide with a length to be determined.
Can anyone help me with a dealer who ships to Canada?
Please let me know if you can.
 Thanks for your Help.

It might seem a little bit silly to some people, but go to your local commercial truck tyre people and ask them to cut & shape(whatever size you want)from an old truck tyre.It might be a little on the heavy side to some people, but when its on your boat and you actual miss judge the bank it does no harm to the boat.baloo

I once found a rubber trim supplier who had just about any cross section and size you could ever need, it wasnt self adhesive but I am sure they would also be able to supply a suitable tape.
