Converting a 1:72nd Airfix MTB to radio control
« on: November 28, 2012, 04:19:50 pm »

Hello folks

Can any fellow member point me in the direction of any information on converting the Airfix 1:72nd scale kit of of the RN Vosper MTB World War two kit, I just noticed an article in the December issue of Model Boats Magazine under the  "Test Bench"of the magazine that is about using "Minigear systems for small models, using 2.4 GHz system, using a small 150mAH battery, small ruder assembly etc. I would be grateful if anyone can point me in the direction of any article/features etc on mtorizing this or any similar small kit, the MTB is only 305mm long, also a source of suitable source of 1:72nd crew figures for the MTB.

Thanks folks all the best, John.

There really is only one name in 1:72nd scale RN crew figures and that's Gunthwaite Miniatures.  However they are made in metal so you'd have to watch your top weight on a small model like the MTB.
