where to obtain small ORION motors
« on: February 10, 2013, 01:35:08 am »

Hello folks

I have obtained a small Orion motor from SHG Model Supplies it measures 20mm long by 15mm in diameter, and was used to power small plastic kit models ie the model of the 1:35 scale Italeri model of a Landing Craft (LCVP) which they no longer stock I had one I bought a few years ago unstarted, I checked with SHG and they had one Orion motor left which I promptly bought. I am told it will happily run on 3 or 6v and is in fact a servo motor {in new condition), does any fellow member know a source of these or similar small motors for use in small plastic kits suitable for conversion to radio control?
Thanks all the best, John.

Might be worth checking out Deans Marine. Ron has been doing lots of work converting plastic kits lately. Check the Traders section for some of his posts.

Would one of the motors from a small RC heli be any use?
