Shed alarm should work, just replace  the cable with a longer one..
By the way, the loop alarms (at least the ones we used when I worked for Curry's and Granada in the 80's) are quite easy to bypass as I was once shown  :police:

Also these, Not sure if it was a requirement of the show, but some stands do not seem to be wired, take a look at the last picture, There is definitely somebody eyeing up a few models there.. :}

From shows I have attended we always had someone to man the stand to keep an eye on things even during the pack up, some shows have a very good security system Harrogate is a good example the models have to be signed in by a steward two cards are singed one stays with the model for the whole show one stays with the person who owns that model no models can be taken out during the show they are there for 3 days I guess everywhere is different really

 O0
Be wary, the man in blue is everywhere, everywhere he takes pictures of models, there can be seen hide a battleship in the collar of his shirt. It is not large, these are bags to hide models

Meridienne used to supply loop alarms for the International Model Boat Show, and they have a system for booking models in and out.

At the Model Boat Convention the stands have to be manned by at least one club member.  All models are on the stands for the duration of the show.  With any sales from the chandlery the purchaser is given a receipt and they contact a committee member who checks the receipt and escorts them out.
