Kirklees Model Boat Club will be holding their fourth annual steam day along with Mountfleet Models - April 28.

For more information please see other posts under club events. All we need is the weather for a good day. If you do not have a steam model or Mountfleet model you are welcome to and join us at the lakeside.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT OPERATE IC OR HIGH PERFORMANCE FAST ELECTRICS.

Hi Last post for our steam and Mountfleet open day. Location Wilton Park Batley WF17 8JH start time around 10 am to 15.30 pm so if you have a steam model or a Mountfleet Model you are more than welcome to attend this event. People have asked what if I do not have a steam or Mountfleet model, no problem you will be made most welcome to come along and sail with us. Please note steam plants must have an up to date certificate. Hope to see you next Sunday. Beware of the speed camera on the approach to the park.

Hello,
Spent a very enjoyable day at the show, admiring all the models, and having a real good sailing session with my J Class yacht.
The weather tried its best to spoil things, but, it did not succeed!.
A really good show, and really good people too.
Took some photos of the boats, will post them later.

What a wonderful day, had a great time and felt so much apart of the club. Some superb models and had so much fun sailing my barge-thanks Stan.

Hi kirklees mbc we at Balne Moor mbc would like to thank you for your Hospitality on Sunday, we had a great
time and took one or two Photos. Stan will you ask Cliff one of your members what type of motors he uses
in his base ball cap because it came wizzing past me at full speed, are they Brushless?.

Looks like fun was had by all I was away for this event but I am glad someone was there with a Hovercraft to make some noise

Hi Another event over for this year. I would like to thank all the members from other clubs who attended the day and made it a success again. We had members from St Helens MBC, Balne Moor MBC, Runcorn MBC, Bridlington MBC, Keighley Model Enginers, Darlington MBC, Mountfleet Models, and Sue Hinchcliffe. Our boiler tester was kept busy during the morning only stopping for a cup of tea then back to it. The weather remained dry for all of the day but on the cold side at times. We had a fair number of steam models and Mountfleet models on display during the day. Other models on display included tugs, hovercraft, a very large yatch and a very large Goose. The day finished with a presentation for best steam and Mountfleet models. We hope to have this event again next year. I would like to close by thanking everyone for making the day go so well again.
