Entry is free for MPBA members and just £1.00 for non-members. Pre-registration is requested, just so we know who and what models are coming and can make arrangements to accommodate you, so if you want a form, you can either Private message or go to the MPBA website.

Competitions for MPBA members

Class 'A' Exact Scale :- is a model which has been constructed as a scaled down replica of a full sized vessel. It will be predominantly scratch built but may feature commercial fittings.
Models with commercial hulls may be entered in this class, but will be marked down accordingly on the static judging. Competitors in this class will normally be expected to provide some supporting documentation, Including plans and/or photographs as appropriate.

Class 'B' Semi-Exact :- is a model depicting either an actual full size prototype or a typical example of a particular type of vessel, possibly a freelance design. It will predominantly be scratch built, and must not be based on a boxed kit, but may feature a commercial hull and/or fittings. Supporting documentation is desirable as it can be of some assistance during static judging. Semi-Exact built models will usually incorporate less detail than Exact Scale models.

Class ‘C’ Kit: - is a model that has been built from a boxed kit which includes building instructions or may be based on a semi-kit which includes dedicated building instructions.

Competitions for MPBA and Non-MPBA members

Open Navigation: - Open to any class of model and only scored on steering course navigation and on the water performance.

Open Warship trophy:-  Open to all Naval models with Steering, on the water and static judging.
