Anchor chain
« on: May 22, 2013, 08:49:23 pm »

Hello again guys

Am just about finished doing my Model Slipway Tamar. It was my first build and I am we'll pleased with the results. Thanks to all who have given advice. One more little favour..... I have searched every site I know but can't see a picture of where the anchor chain goes. I presume it goes through the metal disc on the deck but does it go through the centre of this cover or through the side. I think I've developed OCD  whilst building this boat. Thanks again.

The anchor chain passes round the outside of the stanchion and it's 2 support struts and then goes into the side of the cover directly below the fastening

Thank you so much. I'd already looked at your superb pictures but looked tonight on a big screen and saw where the chain disappears into the locker. Your pictures are superb! Thanks once again. I'll try to post some pics of my efforts.

All the top brass had been at Moelfre weeks before when Kiwi first arrived on station, so they were not likely to visit again.

Kiwi was a brand new boat moored in a public marina whilst waiting to go into service. The Moelfre crew knew it would have many admiring visitors and made the extra effort, as they always do.
