Mick,
I dont live far from the Portsmouth side of the Ferries.
I am sure Wightlink would accept the package and I could meet the ferry on arival.

sadly the kind gentleman I am to obtain the item from is unable to package it up,and I feel sure the ferry company would not accept it like that,as they would worry about damage. If he would package it,problem solved as I could then arrange parcelforce to collect it from him for onward delivery to me.
Thanks for the offers of help and advice.
Sincerely,

I haven't given up hope yet,I may have a pal who would be going to the IOW in the near future, and he may be able to bring over the secret package.I might add through the "Nothing to Declare" channel (if they have one!)

Hi Mick

Could you not persuade the RNLI to run a combined exercise.
