RNLI and engines.
« on: August 13, 2013, 09:54:53 pm »

So being an RNLI crew member has to come top of my list at the moment. I love every second of it. The adrenalin rush when that pager goes off. The distinctive bleep bleep bleep, knowing that in a few short minutes I could be in the middle of the channel pulling someone out the water or helping to stop a sinking vessel.

So far I have had two callouts in the morning hours, one at two and another at four. Been crew for a year and a half.

And not knowing what the call is until getting to the station. Plus the other crew members are all fantastic blokes.

My other hobby, turned into my day job now, is engines. I love them, I work on chainsaws etc. they never stop to amaze me sometimes and I'm always learning.
