Hi there, I've got plenty of photos of Holyheads Severn, 17-41 'Christopher Pearce'. These may be of some use to you, I could pop them on a disc if you send me your address in a message. Also got the Model Boats Magazine winter special featuring the 1.12 Speedline Severn from a couple of years ago scanned, so could pop that on the disc too.
Remember no two lifeboats are the same but could be helpful.
Wouldn't want anything for the disc, RNLI Holyhead were kind enough to show me around, just pop a donation to RNLI when next at a station.

Dave.  :-))

Many thanks to those guys who have sent me information it is greatly appreciatted.

I am unsure what motors to fit. I understand that some have fitted the EMAX BL4030 are these ok to use and will they get the boat to plane sucecssfully. If so any ideas where I can purchase these from. Have looked at various web sites but confused?

Another thing I need to know is the size of bow thruster what make, type and barrel size?

Thanks

Another option for a suitable motor to plane this size model is  ......   http://www.giantshark.co.uk/product/168471/xyh50-55-400kv-68a-brushless-outrunner ... it's cheaper too

You probably need the Raboesch Bow Thruster 108 - 30, which is the 30mm one Speedline supplies in the Tamar kit

I think you can get Adrian on speedlinemodels.com.
All the help you need can be got for the asking. CD is not £1.00 as others think, postage is £1, CD is free.
Castings and parts of acrylic and etched sheets can be obtained too.
Please try him anyway.

thanks for the info, I have been in touch with Adrian and did order some items from him which I received within 10 days which was good. My build is progressing my problem is that I cannot seem to size photos to post. I am working on the cabin interior and would like to show as much interior detail as possible. Hope to have the interior done by this weekend. I have CD and memory sticks and drawings which other members have kindly sent me. The drawings I had up-scaled so that I could take actual measurements off the drawings which helps. What a fantastic membership we have.

Funny you should say Flundle that there is all the help you need available from Speedline.THIRTY THREE Emails & over a year later I have yet to have my issues resolved, lots of promises though.Never mind the whole mess has cost me over $2,200.00 up to now for a Tamar kit that is still not complete. Very sad really. Mick B.

Robin.
The plans drawings on the CD are Adobe Acrobat files and will open when you click them. (If not, download a free 'Adobe Reader' from the interweb.
You can change the size of the drawing you are seeing by altering the value in the size box in the top menu line (next to the big + and - signs. Type in 100% and the drawing will then appear at 1/12 scale.
Because non of us have plan printers you can print any part of the plan you need on your A4 printer at 1/12th scale by selecting 'print' and under the 'more options' arrow on the print dialog box arrow select 'current view'. The printable part of the plan then appears. (sounds harder than it is). As you move the image about with the lifts, you can see what will be printed. Just select the area you want and press print. You should end up with an A4 print with the selected part of the plan on it a 1/12 scale.
Hope that helps?

Not sure what you mean by 'cannot size photos to post'. Do you mean resize to send to the Mayhem site?  I think yu need to lower the resolution of the piccy but to what I dont know, sorry.
I would like to see the piccies. E mail me direct why not?
