Replacing a deck
« on: November 24, 2013, 01:19:02 pm »

Hello

I've just aquired a old precident huntsman that has been in a loft for about 30 years, it had a veneer covered deck which has lifted of in places so I have stripped it of and am going to replace it with new veneer, which glue would be recomended for sticking it on, I am loathed to use contact adhesive as it it has to go on right first time with no chance of adjustment, the deck will be put on in one peice.

Cascamite or a 'good quality' white / PVA glue.

Another good one to use would be epoxy resin, wipe any excess off that squeezes out with meths
