If you are referring to my comment about the other clubs, Then If you check my signature you will see that these clubs are quite close to ours, We have a good relationship with the other clubs and regularly attend functions there, also I know that the ponds are not more than 5 meters away from the sea (Hoylake practically in the sea) and as such would have got a good kicking from Mother Nature (as per the you tube link I posted)  8)

Darn it!  I never thought to get my model out during our floods last month - mind you it was only waist-deep in the middle of town, where the kids were swimming off the Siam Commercial Bank's steps.
Perhaps I'll be better prepared for next-year's floods ...

I was looking at Gazou's reply, (among others), then  looked at something else on this same thread and then brain pharted.

No probs..  In fairness I can see where Gazou's post is coming from, and thankfully I have never been affected by a flood and hope never to be.
I have just been reading up on the 1990 storm which took out the old swimming baths at NB,. it really amazes me that we build so close to the sea on what I believe is all reclaimed land from the sea, the bath's lasted 54 years, I wonder if the new Morrison's and other builds will do the same ?.

Hi Larry, Yes mate I can say that the lake in New Brighton got a good pounding from mother nature, at times you could not see the wall surrounding the lake so as far as our next event goes this may well be skip filling event as I would imagine there's a lot of sludge in the bottom if the car park is anything to go by.
