Hull and plan would be a good start Ian  :-)) I think 1:32 would be a good scale, as most of the tug towing is at 1:32

Hi Ian

I would be interested in a hull if you was to make them at 1:32 scale   :-)

1/32nd makes a model only 15" long, might be a bit small....

1/16th (31") would be manageable  or 1/12th (41") could be a bit heavy

As a model in its own right I think 1/16 would be OK.
To be put in the water at tug towing events it would
have to be 1/32 and just buzz about not being able
to contribute.

IMHO I think it is a really nice model :-))

thanx for the input guys . the one i have already built is 43 inches putting it at roughly somewhere between 1/12 and 1/16 .  you might of seen them at the warwick show.
i never intended to put it in to production . but i have had quite a bit of interest .
so im really thinking about it .

next thing im thinking is . is there any one who would be able to make a plug for a mould for me

All of the hard work and time is in the making of the plug Ian. I think if any one goes to the trouble of making the plug they might as well make the mould and start producing it themselves. {-) {-)

Wrong !! I'll do all the hard work on the plug. Just need someone to make the mould. Or at least show me how to do it

If you wanted to strip down one of the models, could you not use the existing hull as a plug to make the mould?  Just a thought, don't think I'd want to tear down a complete model myself

you must be a reason:
or you repeat a shell and a mold (very expensive)
or you can use a model to make a mold (you must be crazy)

is it worth the blow financially

Probably not worth the blow and I doubt I'd make any money from it. More than likely I'd be making them at a loss. But it's a lovely model and I want every one to have one

I have been following your build and did "inspect" the 2 models at Warwick and yes I would buy a FG Hull and drawings if it was available at the same size.

Hi, Ian, Even the Pros spend months getting the plug up to the standard ready for moulding, knowing fine well that any blemish will be replicated over and over again. Nemesis
