Jim....you may need to define "plasti strip" to ensure a better understanding..............

Superglue would work but beware of spreading it outside the join. It will show as cloudy and look messy.

Hi
Acrylic is mostly used for windows, I find canopy glue that is used in model aircraft very good.
It is made by pacer formula '560'
It take a time to dry but does dry clear and ideal as I say for the windows.
