"Putting the bins out!"....even this pleasure Baldrick    , has been taken from me ...[pending a new hip on 11/10].......


So a very kind neighbour is assisting with my weekly rubbish bin........


I scour Liquorland to find not expensive [sub $8.00 ] bottles....last week, I found a Wolf Blass red for $6.00 on 1/2 price special


Whilst she says it is not necessary........usually on a Monday evening in early dark hours, I place a green bag at her door step


It's only for a few more weeks................

I think they all drowned in the floods   We don’t get them where we live, they mostly affect the inland areas, west of the Great Dividing Range, and a lot of that is currently flooding. We had our floods in February/ March, and the local towns are still recovering.

Hello Derek sorry about your woes, hope all resolved soon. 

Earlier this year I was a bit west of you in Adelaide when we found a superb Reisling.  Four Points 2021 Reisling, not all that dear either. don't bother with the 2019 no where near as good!  When I return late February 2023 I hope there is still some left as Andrew bought 2 cases of it!

OK .... and we're Back!   

It seems that Mayhem is under a sustained DoS attack ( Denial of Service),

The DoS attack doesn't need to be for any particular reason, hackers sometimes do it just for the hell of it. 
The attack just slows everything down, hence the slow loading pages.......

We still looking into a permanent solution but what we've tried so far has done  all !

I moderate on another forum and the same thing happens there. Fortunately we have a very proficient web administrator who is experienced in beating off these type of attacks.

As Martin says, some people get their kicks for doing this for fun.

Usually these attacks die down after a while as the perpetrators move on to other victims.

Only once, every other time I tried it just said 'Cannot reach this page, please contact  the site's owner' as if I'd have any way of doing that!!!

It is Pat, a VPS.
 
We've used the current company for over ten years .... but i think they are going through some sort of existential crisis at the moment.
They seem to think that supplying what was paid for / customer care &  support is an unnecessary Evil !

Me again. Need to make a desision on a new hosting platform...
A couple of people did contact me but with all ther server issues, some messages and email have gone missing...!
