Orion Mouldings - 37" Northumberland Coble hull?
« on: April 22, 2014, 11:44:06 am »

Via email to Mayhem...

Martin,

Hello, this is Mark from Whittier, California. I like to ask you a question. Have you or anyone you know ordered a hull from Orion Mouldings? I've been looking at their 37" Northumberland Coble hull, and am thinking about purchasing one. Have you heard anything about the quality of their products?, or the time from ordering to receiving a hull? I've ordered hulls from Models By Design, and Mark's Model Bitts, and have been pleased with their products. I wish I could just pop in, and take a look, but that's not going to happen.

Thank you,
 Mark

If it's any help, I had an Orion hull a while back, the big Russian Victor sub...superb hull, very well moulded. Service was good, delivery was quick too...I'd have another if I had the room and/or the interest.

Hi,

Not a Coble hull but a small row boat type hull from Orion.

Very well made, delivery to Australia was no problem and the hull arrived with not a dent.

Regards.

Just to follow up,

I received my 37" coble hull this morning; 14 day from order to arrival in the USA. Hull was in fine shape. I am pleased with Orion's service, and their moulding.

I have always found Anth a real great and helpful guy and I to have a few of his hulls and am very pleased with them. but then he is a Geordie, or as he will say a Mackem.
                                         Regards Howard.
